Last Sunday, June 5th the Five O’ Clock Steakhouse hosted its 9th Annual Car Show that benefitted Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative & DryHootch Milwaukee.

Two Great local Veterans charities that are making a difference here in our community. We were a bit nervous the days leading up because of weather reports, but the clouds disappeared & some AMAZING vehicles appeared. The Five O’ Clock has been a part of this community since 1946, but in the last 9 years we have made a consistent effort to engage and connect with the community in new ways. This particular event has been free and open to the public for 9 years straight. We bring together guests of the restaurant and friends from the neighborhood to enjoy an array of classic and rare cars along with live music, raffles, & prizes for participants.

There was quite a diverse display of rare vehicles! Stand outs included a 1950’s Ford Coup Customline, 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, 1970 Chevelle (Silver & Black – Voted Crowd Favorite), 1964 Porsche Convertible, even a 2021 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster!! (Over 30 vehicles showed up to support these amazing charities!!)  Entertainment started off with Gabriel Sanchez performing classic rock, pop & music from Prince, then Charles Barber took over with some Rock, Soul & R&B, followed by Brett & the Dandy’s with their brand of Rockabilly take on classics. Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative passed out free Girl Scout Cookies, DryHootch offered some wonderful custom blends of coffee and La Costenita Taco Truck was on hand with some tasty treats. Our legendary mixologist Wally Wroblewski worked his magic behind the Five O’ Clock’s bar mixing everyone’s favorites.

Altogether the Five O’ Clock raised over $4300 in cash & in kind donations! Special thanks to SteelTank Brewing Company, CBS 58 News & the whole Five O’ Clock Steakhouse team including our Managing Partner Stelio Kalkounos for organizing & hosting this event !!
