June 14th was Flag Day in the United States – a minor holiday that was first celebrated in Waubeka, Wisconsin in 1885.  What a perfect time to remember our brave men and women in the armed services.  In the month of June, the Five O’Clock Steakhouse will be helping two groups that help vets – Milwaukee Homeless Veterans’ Initiative and DryHootch.  MHVI has programs to help vets meet life’s basic needs, like food and shelter.  DryHootch operations begin with coffee shops where vets can connect with other vets.  They focus on issues such as readjustment into society and tackling substance abuse, PTSD, mental health.  Together, their aim is to make sure that no vets are left behind, after they return to civilian life.

June is also the month that Stelio features his annual Five O’Clock Steakhouse Car Show!  Many veterans who own their own classic cars bring their vehicles to show support and enjoy the festivities. It is an intimate event that the Five O’ Clock hosts every year. On Sunday June 6, from noon until 4:00 pm, come to the Five O’Clock Steakhouse to see some of Milwaukee’s hottest cars.  American classics, muscle cars, and sports cars will all be on hand for your viewing pleasure.  Stick around for a great char broiled steak dinner after 4:00 pm!
