According to legend, the Five O’Clock name originated when an alarm clock, located behind the restaurant would sound each day at 5 p.m. to signal a free drink for patrons. Five O’ Clock Steakhouse, formerly Coerper’s Five O’ Clock Club, has been a family-owned and independently operated Milwaukee steakhouse and supper club since 1946, serving the finest steaks paired with outstanding service.
Five O’Clock has been named “One of America’s Best Steakhouses” by TV host Rachael Ray, Food Network, Mashed.com and TravelandLeisure.com, and was featured on the Travel Channel’s “Steak Paradise 3.” It also has received many local and national accolades.
The Alley Cat Lounge features cocktails and a 1940s retro-lounge ambience. In our main bar, where there are classic cocktails, fine whiskeys and wines, craft beer and much more, you can hear live music most Wednesday-Saturday nights with no cover charge.
