In 2024, we’re continuing to support Milwaukee-area nonprofits working to help their neighbors and the community. Each month we donate a portion of sales to a different organization lending a hand in our hometown.

In January, we’re helping our West Side neighbor, Worldview Art Center, founded by Erik Eide to raise funds to provide youth with quality art supplies and arts education in their community. Erik Eide has been an advocate for local artists & hosted events with the Milwaukee County Historical Society and Five O’ Clock Steakhouse in the past.

The benefits of engagement in the arts are well documented, but many youth still experience barriers to accessing arts education. Budget cuts to art programs have stymied the creative development of our youth. It is a widely held belief that creative exploration and the art-making process contribute to a well-rounded education, enhancing self-confidence and critical thinking skills.

Worldview Art Center, after consulting with art educators, has put together a bag with a sketchbook, graphite pencils, a pencil sharpener, and eraser to help aspiring artists. Residents will also be able to take part in workshops led by local artists, who will provide hands-on educational programming.

The work they create together will ultimately be presented to the public in a virtual gallery exhibition.
